PV Enterpreneurship Program at Centurian University

Centurion University, Bolangir Campus Hosted an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program on Pharmacovigilance in association with CMPV Consultancy.

In a significant initiative aimed at nurturing future entrepreneurs in the field of pharmacovigilance, CMPV Consultancy recently conducted an engaging entrepreneurship awareness program at Centurion University, Bolangir. The event focused on the critical aspects of pharmacovigilance and its entrepreneurial opportunities, drawing a keen interest from a diverse group of students.

Held on April 13, 2024, the session was part of CMPV Consultancy’s efforts to educate and inspire budding entrepreneurs about the importance and scope of drug safety monitoring. The program provided a platform for students to understand the nuances of starting and managing businesses in the pharmacovigilance sector. The hospitality provided by the staff members specially by Mr. Swarnajeet Tripathy was wonderful.

Experts from CMPV Consultancy, including seasoned pharmacovigilance professionals and successful entrepreneurs, shared their insights and experiences. They discussed the challenges and rewards of entering the pharmacovigilance industry, emphasizing innovation and ethical practices.

“The essence of pharmacovigilance is not only to ensure drug safety but also to foster an environment where entrepreneurship can thrive in this critical field,” said Dr. Chinmaya Mahapatra, one of the keynote speakers and Director at CMPV. Dr. Mahapatra highlighted several case studies where innovative approaches in pharmacovigilance led to successful business ventures.

Students participated in interactive sessions where they brainstormed ideas for startups that could contribute to safer pharmaceutical practices. They also learned about the regulatory landscape, necessary for navigating the complexities of the healthcare sector.

The program concluded with a Q&A session, where students expressed their enthusiasm and curiosity about potential career paths in pharmacovigilance entrepreneurship. The university’s faculty members, and especially principal Prof. Prafulla Kumar Sahu praised the initiative for its insightful content and practical approach to education in healthcare entrepreneurship.
